Results of Aquatherm Almaty 2017: the main themes and business solutions of the industry at one platform
5-8 September 2017, Almaty hosted 10th Anniversary International Exhibition for Domestic and Industrial Heating, Water Supply, Sanitary, Air-Conditioning, Ventilation Equipment - Aquatherm Almaty 2017.
The official opening ceremony was visited by Deputy Head of the Almaty City Construction Department Azamat Rakhimov, Deputy General Consul of Germany in Almaty Mr. Joos Bertram, Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Kazakhstan Alexander Yakovlev, as well as representatives of the diplomatic missions of the exhibiting countries and the management of the exhibition’s organizers.
In his welcoming speech, Azamat Rakhimov noted that more than two decades the exhibition is making a significant contribution to strengthening and development of the construction industry in the region, gathering leaders of top domestic and foreign companies in Almaty.
This year, the Aquatherm Almaty exhibition 2017 presented 153 companies from 17 countries. The total area of the exposition is 3,800 square meters. The international presence of the Aquatherm Almaty 2017 exhibition included the participation of the leading countries of the industry: Austria, Germany, Denmark, Iran, Italy, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Poland, Russia, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, France, the Czech Republic and South Korea.
National group of German producers exhibited sewer and pumping equipment, plumbing and ventilation solutions for industrial and municipal facilities and made a significant part of the specialized section of "Heating equipment". An impressive exhibition of Russian participants in 2017 replenished with 12 new companies and amounted to more than 260 square meters. Participants of the China group stand demonstrated new effective solutions and a large number of the latest equipment to experts. More than 40 companies for the first time presented ultra-modern innovations, 14 of which are manufacturing enterprises of Kazakhstan.
An engineer of the Vans Tech company Anton Borovsky noted that the exhibition 2017 is significantly expanded with new interesting companies, including major international market players. "A lot of visitors, many new faces, hope to find new customers for further cooperation. This year, the organization is much better. Many international companies are represented, the design of stands is very colorful," said Anton Borovsky.
For the four days of the exhibition, it was visited by 1,157 professional industry specialists from Afghanistan, Eastern Europe, Western Europe, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyz Republic, USA, Turkey, Uzbekistan and South Korea. At the same time, the share of potential buyers was 28.41%, including representatives of manufacturing, wholesale and distribution companies, construction and installation companies, wholesale and retail networks, architectural and engineering offices, housing and public utilities services, state organizations, expert and certification companies, specialized associations and others.
29% of exhibition visitors are the top executives of the companies who are independent in decision-making, and 54% are persons who coordinate decisions and have influence on purchase of the goods and services presented at the exhibition.
Regional Manager of the Teploinvest Asia company Evgeniy Pak told about an attendance of the target audience in the exhibition: "During the long-term participation in this exhibition, I can note that in 2017 I found myself under the greatest impression on the organizational aspects and quantity of visitors. Literally a year or two years ago, the attendance was not as great as now, everything is very lively, the feeling of a holiday. For several years, our company is participating in the exhibition, trying not to miss the event. We have exhibited even when it was a crisis. Everything because we are always looking for the right contacts and we always get them here. "
Among the visitors there are representatives of companies: AAEngineering group, Kazgiprovodkhoz, TS Development, PA KAZGOR, Kazakh Vodokanalproekt JSC, Basis Proekt LTD, Kazsantehproekt, Absolute Build, Advanced Export LLC, Robert Bosch, Alles Construction Chemicals, KazNIPIenergoprom, the Basis design institute, Elitstroy LLP, Almaty Stroy Service, the Energetic Technologies design office, Korea-Kazakhstan Technology Cooperation Center, the Kurylys LLP and others.
The "Practical Area" received special attention in the Aquatherm Almaty exhibition. For the third year, this special project enhances its results again and again and is being developed, gathering more and more professionals and entrants in the industry: many of whom come here purposefully to get acquainted with the companies participating in this site and the most important for them is to test modern equipment in action, to learn the features of the application, installation and maintenance.
The participating companies of the project evaluated the effectiveness of this tool and noted the positive dynamics of growth of the qualitative composition of the industry experts who visited the site for the 4 days of the exhibition, increased interest to exhibited products.
Director of MOLETECH Astana Abzal Sadvakassov said: "The work of the organizers is done very well; there were very useful and interesting business events. The audience is very qualitative; it is exactly specialists of the sector."
According to the final data, 91% of the participants consider that Aquatherm Almaty 2017 is important for business, 88% of participating companies positively estimate the overall return on investment from the exhibition. 34% of exhibitors signed contracts during the event; others will work with received contacts and agreements after.
In 2017, the cooperation with the Akimat of Almaty city and the main municipal enterprises of the city, which took part in the business program of the Aquatherm Almaty 2017 exhibition, was successfully continued. The event brought together key industry sectors and became an interactive platform for specialists.
This year's round tables focused on modernization and introduction of new solutions in housing and public utilities sector, the development of such areas as heating, water supply and wastewater treatment. Director of Almaty branch of the Kazakhstan Center for Modernization and Development of Housing and Public Utilities JSC D.T. Kozhakhmetov, Chief Engineer of the Almaty Heating Networks LLP D.V. Kirdyaykin, General Director of Tospa Su N.M. Dzharbolov, the Holding Almaty Su municipal utility service and others took part in the discussions and made statements as speakers.
Particular attention was paid to the speakers of the Nurly Zhol program, the main focus of which is the modernization of infrastructure, housing and public utilities as well as networks of heating, water supply and water removal. For the past two years, 195 billion tenge have been allocated from the budget for the implementation of the program. 132 projects to the amount of 85.8 billion tenge have been fully completed and put into operation today. 48 billion tenge were allocated from the budget for the current year's projects.
Within the business program of Aquatherm Almaty 2017 the possibility of introducing new solutions in the industry was discussed as well. Foreign speakers spoke about the experience of their countries and proposed adaptable tools for the Republic of Kazakhstan. Particular attention was given to the report of the Director of the Federation of the German Heating Industry (BDH), Alexander Werner, on development of heating and cooling systems in Europe.
For his part, Diaz Kozhakhmetov noted that the Kazakhstan Center for Modernization and Development of Housing and Public Utilities is constantly studying the experience of foreign countries. Now the practice of the Eastern European countries, based on a riffle approach in the management of houses, is being considered. "In particular, the experience of Hungary and Poland in managing is interesting. The program "one house - one KSK (*private maintenance service)", which we want to implement is borrowed from the Eastern European countries", said Kozhakhmetov.
Besides that, the business program took into account the need for practical component and included field trips to the sewage treatment facilities of Tospa SU, the pumping station and new Training Center of Almaty Heating Networks LLP to share experience, demonstrate technology and equipment.
Also, to facilitate the search for the necessary partners and equipment, organizers of Aquatherm Almaty 2017 held B2B meetings, including the main enterprises of housing and public utilities’ field, where they had an opportunity to discuss in details on the potential cooperation issues taking into account the need and priorities of the company, and to conclude partnership agreements.
For 10 years of its work, the exhibition has become an important source of information and solutions for specialists in the field of HVAC and WSS. More than 5,000 specialists in the field of industrial and domestic construction, engineering services, manufacturers, representatives of state and industry associations and media visit Aquatherm Almaty to know trends in the market, to find the products and services, interested to them, and to explore new markets.
