WITH NEW SCOPE: KAZBUILD AND AQUATHERM 2025 KICKED OFF THE AUTUMN EXHIBITION SEASON IN ALMATY
THE AUTUMN EXHIBITION SEASON HAS STARTED IN ALMATY WITH SCALE!
Today, September 3, 2025, Kazakhstan's largest industry exhibitions began their work — the 31st Kazakhstan International Construction and Interior Exhibition KazBuild 2025 and the 17th International Exhibition of Household and Industrial Equipment for Heating, Water Supply, Sanitary Engineering, Air Conditioning, and Ventilation Aquatherm Almaty 2025.
This year, the exhibition has significantly expanded: for the first time, a new Pavilion 8 has been added to the usual three pavilions and outdoor area, allowing for more space to showcase innovations and technologies. Together, both exhibitions gathered 639 companies from 30 countries, confirming their status as the largest professional communication platform in the region.
KazBuild participants included 414 companies from 26 countries, including Azerbaijan, Belarus, Germany, Greece, Israel, Indonesia, Iran, Spain, Italy, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, the Netherlands, Norway, UAE, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Finland, France, Czech Republic, and South Korea. Special attention was drawn to the participation of national stands from Germany, UAE, and Poland, as well as collective expositions from Azerbaijan, Russia, and Iran.
The Aquatherm Almaty 2025 exhibition of engineering systems and equipment gathered 225 companies from 16 countries, including Belarus, Bulgaria, Hungary, Germany, Italy, Kazakhstan, China, UAE, Poland, Russia, Singapore, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Czech Republic, and South Korea. Strong highlights of the exposition were the national stands of Germany and Turkey, as well as collective expositions from China and Uzbekistan.
This year, special emphasis was placed on the expanded exhibition program. The business program started with the plenary session "Law, Digital, Intelligence: Developing Kazakhstan's Construction Industry through Synergy." Participants discussed trends in the development of the construction industry, prospects for digitalizing facilities and implementing related technologies, using BIM and artificial intelligence for real-time data management. Special attention was paid to staffing and educational support for the industry, as well as finding a balance between government control, innovative development, and the sustainability of the construction sector. Speakers at the plenary session included Moldir Makisheva, Acting Head of the Construction Industry and Woodworking Industry Department of the Industry Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Meirbek Zhamankulov, President of the National Association of Designers of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Chingis Khan Mamanov, Director of the Atameken RPP in Almaty; Timur Nurtaev, Director of the branch of the Union of Builders of Kazakhstan in Almaty; Bakhtiyar Sabdenaliev, Rector of the International Educational Corporation (KazGASA); Sergey Chetvernya, Director of CAD.kz. The moderator was Almat Zhamankulov, Chief BIM Development Specialist, KAZGOR Project Academy.
In her welcoming speech, Moldir Makisheva noted: "The interest and active involvement of government bodies, exhibition participants, and its visitors give the exhibition truly international significance. I am confident that the rich program, presented expositions, and professional discussions serve as a stimulus for further industry development and opening new opportunities."
After the Plenary session, speakers, diplomats from participating countries, and exhibition organizers went on an introductory tour of the exhibition exposition.
Also, on September 3, vibrant master classes were held in the outdoor area. Designers conducted an interactive session on furniture restoration, where they explained how to choose the color code of the interior and how it affects style changes, sharing secrets of decorative art using stucco as an example. The program concluded with a discussion "Painter and Designer. How to interact ecologically on a project."
For the first time in Kazakhstan, the first industry ecosystem WINDOW SCHOOL+ (Moscow) for professionals in the window industry and construction sector held a large-scale event: the Great Window Forum. The program included a discussion club with the participation of industry experts, representatives of related organizations, and the construction industry. During the round tables, current challenges and ways to overcome them were discussed: from the views of government structures, independent experts, and developers to the positions of leading suppliers, manufacturers, and market visionaries. Special interest was sparked by a presentation on the use of artificial intelligence in window sales, and the final highlight was networking with industry leaders.
As part of the TANU Business & Design Forum 2025, participants discussed key trends and practical cases in the interior market. The program included topics on decorative techniques and working with bas-relief, issues of simplifying equipment and retaining clients, the role of art in interior styling, and the new function of the designer at the intersection of creativity, management, and technology. Special attention was paid to communications and creative strategies, details that form the status of space, as well as effective interaction with bloggers. The final highlights were presentations of cases on creating a design concept for an exhibition stand, a discussion on quality criteria, and an analysis of the experience of developing interior solutions in retail.
There was also increased activity in the seminar zones. Experts from companies Flow, DTS, AKFA BUILD, Engineering Services, STROYKA.KZ, Basalt Uzbekistan, i-COMS, VENTFASAD 24, Qubiq Group, aledo conducted practical training seminars on their products.
Tomorrow, the 3rd Technar PRO Kazakhstan 2025 Championship of Installers will take place - a competition of professional skills in sanitary systems, organized jointly with LLC "Training Center Technar".
