“The construction industry in Kazakhstan has been developing intensively over the past few years, which contributes to the growth in the production of a variety of building materials and construction volumes. In the near future alone, 69 construction projects are planned to be implemented in the southern capital. Of course, exhibition activities for the construction industry are a reliable support to keep abreast of current realities, analyze the current state of affairs in the industry and effectively build communications between participants in the construction market”, noted Bakhytzhan Zhunisbekov in his welcoming speech.

The KazBuild 2023 and Aquatherm Almaty 2023 exhibitions provide businesses with a unique opportunity to establish new business connections, exchange experiences with partners, and get acquainted with innovations and trends in their industries.

One of the features of the exhibitions this year was the holding of a plenary session. Representatives of the government apparatus and industry associations and unions took part in it, and the central line of dialogue was the topic: Digital technologies and legislation in the design and construction industry. Forecasts and readiness of the market for the mandatory implementation of BIM. The speakers discussed innovations in the construction industry, the current level of use of BIM technologies in the industry, as well as the adaptation of legislation to the use of modern technologies.

The business program also included educational master classes and presentations from exhibitors. For example, the exhibition platform hosted the opening of the anniversary Design Fest 5.0 - a single business platform for designers from all over Kazakhstan. The partner was the Professional TANU Association. Two conference halls located in the pavilions were filled with listeners during all three exhibition days.

In addition, as part of the expo events, the first Installer Championship - Tekhnar PRO Kazakhstan 2023 was held. This is a competition of professional skills in sanitary systems, organized jointly with Tekhnar Training Center LLC.

Another important innovation was the launch of ITECA.EVENTS mobile application. Its main task is to create business communications between visitors and participants of the exhibition. Using this service, it is possible to schedule meetings with potential customers, view the list of participants and products and services presented at the exhibition, collect a contact database based on the results of meetings, and view individual personalized recommendations created by artificial intelligence based on the completed data.

Many companies that previously presented stands at the KazBuild and Aquatherm Almaty exhibitions are participating again. Roman Poznyakovsky from Klivet LLC says that his company has already taken part in Aquatherm Almaty in 2022.

“Last year we presented ourselves here only as part of a conference with a small report. And in this year we decided to make a stand, and the exhibition justifies itself one hundred percent. We have already collected a large number of new acquaintances, new companies and there are already interesting projects. We also plan to participate next year”, says Roman Poznyakovsky.

According to him, exhibitions often bring many additional customers, and this can lead to entering new markets and participating in new interesting projects. Similarly, for the second time, Bastau Almaty is also participating in the KazBuild exhibition. Andrey Yegai, its director, says that participation in expo events is a “good experience” that allowed to meet many partners, dealers and new customers.

“This is a platform where we met a lot of partners and friends. Next year we are definitely planning to participate in KazBuild. We have already booked and taken an even larger space where we will exhibit our products. We will try to surprise customers with our stand”, notes Andrey Yegai.

Next year, we note, the 30th anniversary KazBuild exhibition will be held. And many companies participating in the current event are already booking space for the next one - 76.74% of the total number of participants. This reflects the interest of entrepreneurs in exhibitions as an integral part of their business.
