The history of the renowned Italian valve manufacturer Cimberio dates back to 1927, when Giacomo Cimberio, together with his partners Gioira and Fortis, founded the company “Fortis-Cimberio-Gioira” to manufacture gate valves. Over decades of continuous growth and innovation, the company has evolved into a major international group.

GLOBAL NETWORK

The Group operates three modern manufacturing facilities in Italy, including its headquarters in San Maurizio d’Opaglio and a production plant in Pogno, with a combined area of 35,000 square meters. Cimberio also runs five international distribution centers worldwide, one of which is located in Moscow. The Group employs 215 professionals.

INNOVATION AND PRODUCTS

Having started with traditional gate valves and ball valves, Cimberio has successfully expanded into advanced smart technologies and artificial intelligence applications.

With support from the European Horizon 2020 program, the company developed SmartCim, its flagship intelligent energy management system. Following the strategic acquisitions of Enersem and Intellienergy, Cimberio established a dedicated energy division and entered the Building Energy Intelligence market.

In 2024, the company introduced its latest innovation — the energy-efficient Knolval valve.

Under the leadership of President Roberto Cimberio, the Group actively supports a wide range of social and charitable initiatives.

The company finances the construction of schools and water infrastructure projects in Burundi and the Central African Republic, supports rehabilitation communities, and sponsors professional sports organizations, including the Varese Basketball Club and its wheelchair basketball team.

In 2023, Cimberio established the Fondazione Academy, a foundation providing free vocational training opportunities for young people and unemployed individuals.

The company also operates its own apiary with 150,000 bees at its Berzonno facility. By analyzing the pollen collected by the bees, Cimberio monitors and evaluates the environmental quality of the surrounding area.
